Google is a long-standing supporter of AAP. An August 2025 partnership allows its use of newswire content to enhance responses in the Gemini app. Google has also supported AAP cadetships, journalism training inititiatives, and fact-checking projects.

Led by John B. Fairfax, the Jibb Foundation is committed to funding two cadetships per year until December 2027.

NSW Department Primary Industries and Regional Development

As a recipient of a grant under the Regional Media Fund, AAP provided 12 months of fully-subsidised content to select regional NSW media outlets.

Between April 2024 and June 2025, AAP's fact-checking and media literacy work was partly supported by an Australian Government Social Cohesion Measures Grant.

International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN)

In early 2025, the IFCN awarded AAP a 12-month Global Fact Check Fund grant supporting audience growth via social media video.
